Moon Shots

Emma and Annie went for their shots today.  Emma had one shot that they did not have the last time we were there.  Annie started her series; she got 6 vaccines in 3 shots and one oral.  Emma was very nervous while we were waiting but did an awesome job.  She was so tense that they had to do her shot over because she squirted the vaccine out and bent the needle.  She looked at the nurse like she had been betrayed but did great.  Annie, on the other hand, screamed until she hyperventilated and almost threw up.  I've never heard her scream like that.  Once I got her calmed down, she'd look around the room and sniffle but every time she'd see the nurse who gave her the shots she'd wail and give the nurse a pouty face.  She's still fussy but that's to be expected.  Emma is done until she starts school.  Annie goes back in two months.  

Annie has been pretty much inconsolable since we got home. She's even sobbing in her sleep. Emma has been asking for a doctor, or as she says, "docca" kit for about two months so I figured this was the perfect occasion. Here's Emma "helping Annie feel bettuh" with her new doctor kit. Amazingly enough, Emma knew what everything was and what it was for, except for the pager. If you see her, ask her what her pager is for. She'll tell you that it says, "hurry, hurry, doctor, come quick, come quick!".
